Step 1:
Go to Google and type Hiren’s Boot CD or go to https://www.hirensbootcd.org/ Now open the Hiren’s Boot CD PE

Step 2: Click on the download tab.

Step 3: Scroll down to HBCD_PE_x64.iso downloadable link and download the iso file to your system.

Step 4: Now you have the iso file of the hiren’s boot CD. All you have to do is to burn this to your usb to make it bootable.
Go to Google, download Rufus 1.8 and install it to your system.

Step 5:Plug your USB. Open the rufus. Go to boot selection and select your already downloaded HBCD iso file. Keep the partition scheme to MBR if your windows are installed on MBR Setting or set to GPT otherwise. Most of the time we use MBR Partition scheme. Click on the start button to proceed with the bootable process. Wait for its completion and remove it when it is 100% complete.

Step 5: Remove the bootable usb and plug it to the system you want to reset the password. Start the system and go to boot options by pressing F2 or F12. Select USB boot and press Enter button to proceed. After loading files you will get the following display.

Now Click on the windows start button on taskbar and go to all programs–>Security–> Passwords –> NT Password Edit and open the file. C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SAM

Select the windows account you want to change the password. Enter new password, confirm password and save the changes and exit.
Now

This will change your windows password without loosing any data.. Now Remove the usb and restart your system with new password.
